A man’s world it may or may not be, but at the guys’ shows in London, Milan, and Paris, a slew of female models were on hand to break up the boys’ club. There were more androgynous beauties, like Hanne Gaby Odiele (who turned up at Raf Simons and Y3) and Harmony Boucher (making her menswear debut at Gucci), but classic bombshells made no smaller a statement (see Hilary Rhoda closing Dsquared2’s 20th anniversary extravaganza in plunging frock and parka; Jourdan Dunn in bikini, fur boots, and another parka at Moschino). The biggest statement of all came from Miuccia Prada in the notes for the Prada women’s Pre-Fall/men’s Fall combo show: “Gender is a context and context is often gendered.” Here, 14 of our favorite turns from the girls.
